It’s a cliche but there really isn’t such a thing as a ‘sure thing’. While it’s true that commodities markets are less volatile than their financial counterparts, there are no certainties. Certain OPEC officials have predicted that oil prices will never bounce back to the $100 a barrel mark in the future, but it would be a mistake for traders to completely rule it out. After all, it was only in March 2014 that Brent Crude Oil prices were tipped to steadily soar, only to suffer a very heavy slump just a few months later.
